Yeah, really sad news! :( Loved 'Colombo' - think I saw every episode.

RIP to him - a show I have fond memories of as a kid.

Would have made a great cliffhanger to the end the series with:-

"You don't turn the other cheek, you slice it."

RIP Peter Falk.

I loved Columbo. He was also great in his film roles, notably Robin and the Seven Hoods, The Princess Bride and one of my favourites, Wings of Desire.

Used to watch Columbo with my dad quite a bit. Was always one of my favs as kid. I also adored him in The Princess Bride.

I love "Columbo" to death (had it running all day while I wrote yesterday and probably will some more today), but to me Peter Falk was so much more than that as an actor. He was a wildly diverse, enormously talented character actor who could swing just about any character you threw at him. He had a range and depth that I don't think was ever completely appreciated by a lot of people. He was one of my favorite actors, and I'm certainly going to miss him as far as that goes.

 The film role I loved him best for was Max in The Great Race.

If you've not seen it I strongly recommend it.

I've only just gotten into Columbo this year, as it was something to watch one boring Sunday afternoon. After that i got hooked and would watch it every Sunday! Saw the very first episode not long ago and was surprised to see him show his true self to the suspects girlfriend telling her he will hound her everyday till she breaks. It was a great moment to see him as he truly was and i'll remember that scene for a long time. It was sad to hear he died not knowing how popular he was due to his terrible illness. R.I.P Peter Falk.
