You'll never guess what I ate today.

Filet mignon jerky! :D As in Father Of The Bride. Well, it wasn't as bad as Frasier said it was. It wasn't exactly a gourmet meat but definitely acceptable and it didn't give me the hiccough.

Recipe please!
I admit, I don't even know what 'jerky' means exactly.
The last filet migon I had was is the US not long ago - about 8 cm in width, sky high, beautifully done (medium rare) - delicious (and no tie cut off)!

I don't regularly eat meat, but I always liked jerky. I'd try that

Well, I don't know the recipe. It came in a box, that I bought in a grocery store that sells exotic food, kinda like Robert's except that I am the French in the story. Basically, it's dried meat.

Ah, that stuff! I am confusing it with something else I think. But what? Some time to get hungry...

I must say I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping to open up a thread of people throwing out desperate guesses, and the OP saying to each one, "Nope. Guess again!"

Good one! :D

But that would mean that the people making guesses would end up chattering like an auctioneer with a bad bladder.

Some jerky is really good, then there is jerky that isn't. It really depends on how it's made. I imagine the stuff Frasier had was really spicy which is what caused his reaction. I've had homemade venison jerky that was so insanely seasoned that I don't know how anyone could eat it. Most jerky is quite good though. I eat it a lot when I drive long distances for some reason.

I really enjoy jerky. It is quite expensive though, because it is generally a tender cut of lean meat that has been dried and shrunk.I find it hard to justify the cost of a tiny shrivelled bit of meat, as compared to a thick slab of steak...
The eyes have it that it isn't as much.
