I seem to think, after reflecting over the past it must be somewhere in the region of 18.

Great topic! I have often wonderd about this one myself. I would say in the Neighborhood of 20-25, (more if you include the ones he had in Cheers) with only the final one showing any promise. A part of me sadly belives that if the show were to go to a season 12 that Frasier would have found a way to mess it up :(

Personally I would say it's far more than anyone has estimated so far. I have often wondered about this question myself, and considering the number of episodes there were, sure a lot focused on him being single, but there were also ones which were pretty much date-centred. My estimation would be definately over 50, but probably less than 100. I should go through all the episodes one day when all the DVDs are out and make a tally! I'll post back when that day comes!

Over at the transcript site (see "Don Juan in Hell") there was a list, though not complete. I added some names, but it's still far from complete, especially when it comes to the Cheers-years and post-season 8. Maybe if we put our heads together..?

Most of them are just dates he's pissed off and not girlfriends though.
Roz and Bebe are on the list, among with some others who perhaps should not be counted.

Yes, how so? Or, I think I know, and there is a topic in the "Off Topic" section if you'd like to discuss J.D Salingers book.

Apoligies, didn't see that thread in "off topic." Yes, I was refering to the Mark Chapton assassination of John and its' links with the book.
(I no this is irrelevant to the rest of this thread, sorry!)

I believe that there were obviously a fair few that were not shown; an example of this would be the "M'lady" incident in Maris Returns, the date is not shown, yet the girlfriend is illuded to.

Does Roz count?
My God, woman, I'd drive a stake through your heart, but I don't think anything could kill you.

WOW - Thats quite a list. Personally I think its too big, as alot are not technically NOT girlfriends or even dates.

But if that is a representation of how many girfriends ole' Frais has had, he's got nothing to complain about, in terms of 'shortage'.
