He's a good looking, charming locally famous guy. Granted, he's a bit arrogant, pompous and full of himself but until a woman dates him a few times she's not going to know that!
I never figure out how women find him attractive. He's sort of fat, balding, and has fat face cheeks! (Just ask Niles.) Niles is also sort of ugly... He's balding, scrawny, pale, and his eyes are sort of inside his skull more than a regular human. Poor guys... However, if I was a girl I'd probably find Niles more attractive. (Again, Frasier is fat.)

I agree with Cat, Kevin James is someone I would call fat. Or this guy:

It's quite well known around here I feel about Kelsey's Chest Hair!

No, just kidding... he's one of the ugliest men I've ever seen!

jrsightes wrote:I just completed my second time through watching all of the DVD's in order, and I've noticed an irritating trend:
Daphne's character completely changes over the course of the series, and not for the funnier. I love Daphne, but her funniest episode was "The Good Son," and she went steadily downhill from there. The writers softened her whimsical, eccentric edge (as well as her amusing accent) over time, to such an extent that the Daphne of "Goodnight, Seattle" is barely recognizable as the Daphne of "The Good Son."
Another thing that irritated me was that they never let us see or hear Maris, at all! I understand the humor in having a frequently-referenced, yet unseen character, but I think they should have treated her the way the Cheers writers treated Vera (whom we saw with her face obscured by a pie, and whose voice we heard several times).
Finally, it irritated me that Rebecca never made an appearance on Frasier. I feel about her absence the way Frasier felt about the show tape missing from his personal archive. Every other Cheers regular appeared on Frasier, which makes Rebecca's absence all the more noticeable. I would have expected to see her one more time, especially given the almost-consummated attraction between her and Frasier near the end of Cheers' run.
Oh well.

Vera is heard in S5 E9, "Thanksgiving Orphans," to name just one of several occasions. In this episode (which is the same episode where we see her with a pie on her face), Vera says something to Norm to the effect of "get your coat---we're leaving."
