Favourite laugh out loud moment in Frasier

Discussion of all things 'Frasier' - the episodes, the actors and other 'Frasier'-related topics.

My absolute favorite has to be that final scene in Daphne's bedroom where Martin is going through Daphne's laundry, Niles has her nighty and Eddy has her Bra

That tableau was a classic!

I agree. If I laugh out loud at a scene, Niles is usually in it, just his facial expressions sometimes get me going!

i just finished watching the episode where niles and daphne throw a dinner party.

originally i didn't think anything of the episode. anything with niles in of course, i love, but this was another one where i just found their relationship a bit stale.

however, having watched it again, when it got to the part where daphne had already told niles two or three other times to stay out of the kitchen... and he comes in a fourth time...

daphne yells/screams at niles "i told you, you're not supposed to be in here!!!!!!" and niles flies backwards out the kitchen swinging door,

well i just busted out laughing. i didn't notice that as much before..

david hyde pierce is most definitely outstanding in many comedic areas.. but it was a happy reminder, even if it was just for a split second, of how great he is with physical humor too.
Frasier: What's all this?
Daphne: Your brother just gave me $200 and now he's going to roll me over.
Frasier: Niles?
Niles: Communication breakdown.

the best bit in out with dad is when Martine says "Who's Mel?" and Niles just bursts out "Damn you and your jealous questions!" and then he says "and I'm keeping the jewellery" before he slams the doors. I was actually crying. Rewound that about ten times on sky plus!

Thank you! I just read through this entire thread thinking "I can't believe nobody has mentioned Niles' trousers being set on fire!" And Flour Child cracks me up no end.

You're right - any time I laugh out loud, it is usually because of Niles.

That was very funny, but personally I love the reaction Martin gives to Niles' feigned jealousy more - he just sort of narrows his eyes menacingly, it's wonderfully done :D

Okay, I'm going to have ALOT. (going in as much order as I can remember)

-Author, Author: Frasier and Niles' song/dance, completely out of character, but hilarious.

-Frasier Crane's Day Off: "you're on the Crane with Frasier air", and the explosion of the booth

-The Matchmaker: Martin cracking up in the kitchen, and when Daphne yanks off her "lucky bra"

-The Candidate: "he cares about...the little people", "right now I'm not sure there's intelligent life in this KITCHEN"

-The Innkeepers: Daphne versus the eel

-Kisses Sweeter than Wine: Frasier's rant about "...that lived in the house that Frasier built!"

-Look Before You Leap: Daphne's haircut and Martin's reaction after his misadventurous plane ride.

-Where There's Smoke, There's Fired: Bebe takes a gulp of smoke from her purse

-Two Mrs. Cranes: the whole episode had me rolling!

-Mixed Doubles: the way Niles calls Rodney a "pretentious fop"

-Our Father, Whose Art Ain't Heaven: Martin and Frasier are crying, suddenly Niles bursts out: "Nobody wants to come to my party!!!"

-Ham Radio: all of it, ESPECIALLY Niles' voices, Roz' "exotic" accent, and Gil's speech about his boyhood, "ROMPING"

-Are You Being Served: Hot n' Foamy incident, especially Frasier screaming "NILES?! NILES?!"

-Frasier's Imaginary Friend: "I AM NOT CRAZY!!! I am dating a SUPERMODEL ZOOLOGIST whom I stole away from a professional football player, and she is off to the Galapagos Islands to artificially inseminate iguanas! Now is that....so hard...to believe?!"

-Halloween: Niles-"I have plenty of proof", Frasier- "From here, it smells like EIGHTY PROOF!"

-Perspectives on Christmas: Roz screams "MERRY CHRISTMAS" as she angrily slams down the gift

-The Ski Lodge: Gee-"Can Niles and I PLEASE have some PRIVACY?" Niles-"I am not gay, Gee!"

-Roz and the Schnoz: the whole episode, especially when Niles, Daphne, and Martin fall tumbling with laughter in the kitchen

-Merry Christmas Mrs. Moskowitz: Frasier screams "JESUS!" and Niles runs back into the kitchen....LOL!

-Three Valentines: Niles' segment

-Out With Dad: Niles' face when introduced as Martin's boyfriend and being forced to hold his hand.

-Something Borrowed, Someone Blue: Frasier bursts in before Daphne can tell Niles about how she feels, after discovering Niles has eloped with Mel..."NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILES!!!!!" hahahaha..I love Frasier's screaming parts, he's so passionate.

-The Doctor is Out: whole episode, especially Daphne saying "Ooh, jewelry, he's a keeper!" or Niles saying "I guess (forget the guy's name) won't be the only one giving up his SEAT tonight"

-High Holidays: Freddy turned goth, Fridgepants, Dog Army

-Caught in the Act: Frasier dressed like a baby hopping around stage with Nanny G....lol!

okay...that was ALOT!
Fraiser and Niles: "Oh some boys go to college, but we think they're all wussies...'cause they get all the knowledge, and we get all the--whumpta doompta doompta..."

My wife's favourite is the scene from 'Merry Christmas Mrs Moskowitz', where Niles is dressed as Christ - he appears and Frasier shouts 'Jesus'!
There are far too many for me to even start, although I just have to think of Niles trying to kill the eels in the Innkeepers to make me smile.
Niles: Maris announced she was in the mood for a goose, and - perhaps inevitably - tragedy ensued.

When Frasier looses his rag with his new neighbour chainsaw that was hilarious.... When Niles was getting ready for a date and set Frasier flat on fire and kept fainting at the sight of his own blood "pure class"......... There are so many i will have to get back to you on other lol moments : )

Have to agree with all the ones listed above.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but everything with Niles that covers his change from jealousy to evil hilarity in The Matchmaker. It's always funny watching Niles be jealous of an admirer of Daphne, and watching him have a laugh at Frasier's expense and it's all good here, particularly the moment...

Tom: "Do you have some problem with me and Frasier going out?"

Niles: "Well, if you must know... I'm sorry, what was the question?"

In that episode, that moment was only equalled (or possibly bettered?) when Niles told Martin the truth of the situation.

Oh that was so funny especially when Niles and Marti were just laughing out loud in the kitchen when Niles told his Dad and when Daphnee found out and just ripped of her painful strapless bra as if too say who cares now pure class..

I always laugh more at Martin then Niles. It's a damn shame John didn't win an Emmy, while David won four. A travesty...

In Author Author...

"Ummm da dummm da ummm da dummm da, some boys go to college, but we think they're all wussies, they get all the knowledge and we get all the mmm da dummm da ummm da dummm da!"

Even none-Frasier fans I've shown this to found it hilarious.

Haven't been on for five months....so hello all.

Ok, I saw this one the other day..

Daphne's in the kitchen preparing dinner for Niles imaginary date with 'Phyllis'.

Frasier (typical rant) - "Well let's just set a place for the March Hare and the Mad Hatter shall we!?"

I laughed as I typed that....

I loved the bit in An Affair to Forget when Frasier is translating the german fencing instruction for Niles via Marta the spanish maid who speaks german and a leetle english. Two parts make me laugh when after translating German to Spanish to English for Niles, he says "en garde" then Frasier says "just what we need a fouth language".

After a bit more translation and an hilarious scene where Niles leaps about like Errol Flyn it transpires that there was a mistranslation and instead of "wife" it turns out that Gunter has said "shoes", thinking he is being accused of stealing Niles' shoes rather than his missus!

I haven't explained it very well but I'm sure you guys will know what I mean!

Also love the scene in Good Grief when the geeky 'fan club' turns up and their rally to bring back frasier on the radio is shown on tv!

Favourite laugh out loud moment in Frasier

Postby PuddleJumper » Sat Nov 04, 2006 3:15 am

Greetings all, I'm a newbie here, and in comparison to most of you a relative newbie to the world of Frasier. I've only seen a handful of episodes from season 5 onwards, but I have 1 to 4 on DVD. The funniest moment from those for me was in "Are you being served?" when Martin's foam heater explodes over Niles. The gag is set up so well and it's just not what you're expecting when Frasier opens the door to the bathroom.

Yes there have been other funny moments but that one had me howling so much that my mum came into my room to check I was alright!
