Hi! This is a great site! You guys have really good discussions!
I think I'm right in saying that 6 episodes are submitted for Emmy consideration for Outstanding Comedy Series. So my question is: if you were going to submit just 6 eps from season 1 for Emmy consideration, which would they be? You could choose your 6 favourite eps, but this is also about choosing 6 eps that you think best show off what the season can do, its different aspects.
Sorry if this idea has been done before, but I couldn't find it!
For me, for season 1 I would choose:
The Good Son - brilliant introduction to all the characters, and just a brilliant ep in its own right!
Here's Looking At You - a really underrated ep that is very funny and shows the warm feeling between the cast.
A Midwinter Night's Dream - this ep really shows how good the Niles/Daphne relationship can be, and it has a really great atmosphere!
Travels with Martin - this just has a really 'classic' feel to it, and shows the relationship between Frasier and Martin well.
Author, Author - this episode really shows the Frasier/Niles rivalry dynamic.
My Coffee with Niles - quite simply, the best comedy half hour I have ever seen! It really shows the sophistication of Frasier, as it's all based around witty dialogue and examination of the characters.
So, what would be your 6 'Emmy consideration' episodes, and why?
