I suppose this not strictly a "line", but to me it is as good as one as it says it all. It is the episode where Frasier meets his old high school crush Lorna. When Lorna Niles and says, "Hi Niles" it is like the last 30 years never took place as he just is speechless and turns into a chronically shy schoolboy. It is just great.

 Hehe, we should start a 'What's your favourite non-verbal reaction' thread :D

I think my favourite is Niles's non-reaction when Martin says he'll need somewhere for Daphne to stay too in Dial M For Martin. All he does is keep pouring cream into his coffee but somehow that reaction is funnier than any line could possibly have been!

My favorite is from Agents in America, Part III when he just stands there and rings the doorbell after he realizes Frasier slept with Bebe.

That's one of my favourites, too.

Another one is from The Apparent Trap, when he believes Frasier and Lilith are actually going to remarry and he says "So it is true, congratulations to you both, good night." I love the way he just leaves the apartment after that, without his coat. :D

That's a classic :D

One of my favourite Martin non-verbal reactions is his reaction to Edward putting his hand on his thigh during Out With Dad

That's DHP once again proving how brilliant he is at being funny without ever saying a word. No one on the show was as good at that as he was.

I've just watched Frasier Gotta Have it and the scene where Daphne tells that sex story and Niles gets up and leaves without saying a word always cracks me up. You're right - DHP really did have a special talent for getting laughs without any actual dialogue.

I love the Niles line from High Holidays when he is describing various stages he is about to go through, including a stage called the munchies.

"I’m thinking of pairing this Chilean sea bass with an aggressive Zinfandel"
Niles: Happy? I'm Delirious.

Martin: You'd have to be, wouldn't you!

My first outing on the forum, so hello everyone!

This has probably already been posted, but here goes:
From Flour Child

Niles: Dad, will you turn him if he starts fussing?
Martin: No
Niles: Dad, I'm playing a role
Martin: Try playing the role of a sane person

Another from Flour Child Not sure of the exact quote, but something about his flour child being stolen and the kidnappers sending him muffins in the mail.

:P

Just saw that again yesterday. What makes it funnier is the manic look on his face as he 'rebelliously' pours the wine

Niles: Well as some illustrious person once said, Popularity is the hallmark of mediocrity.
Frasier: You just made that up didn't you?
Niles: Yes but I stand by it.
Ooh and also, when Niles is standing in for Frasier on his show:
Niles( to the listeners): I must warn you, while Frasier is a Freudian, I am a Jungian, so there will be no calling mother today!
Niles: This fruit and nut muffin contains a number of things I don't care for.
LOL Niles has said some of the most hilarious things, but sometimes it's not what he says as much as HOW he says it:)

Oh and not forgetting the episdoe where Frasier hires a former school bully to repair his bathroom:
Niles: You have the big mercedes?
And also when he says:
It's only money!:)
Haha cracks me up all the time!:)

From the episode where Frasier writes a foreword to Dr Snow's book:
Niles: Time is a concept known to only one of God's creatures: Man. Just for today, be a sunflower!:)
Also from the same episode:
Niles: I can't believe you're writing a foreword for this, it's piffle! It's not even piffle, it's piffle-lite!:)
What's the name of the episode, I forgot:)

Without a shadow of a doubt, for me it's: "Cherry bark and almonds."

Probably more for the delivery than the actual words.
