Just realised I've not actually posted on this thread. After all this time, I'm still in the position of there being a few episodes I've never seen - I'm reluctant to watch them, because then I'll feel really sad that there are no more left. I know that's silly, because if I don't watch them, I'm missing out on enjoying them... but I rarely make logical decisions in my life anyway, so why start now?

Have you seen the finale yet, DG? I have a friend who refuses to watch the finale for years now because he doesn't want it to be over. He's always saying he's saving the last episode for a special occasion, like his honeymoon or something, so he'll always remember what he was doing when he watched it.
I would never have been able to do that. But I really envy you, still having some new episodes left to watch.

Yes, I've seen the finale. I'm not actually sure how many episodes I have left to watch - I'll look at the episode guide later and try to work it out. They're all from S8,9,10 or 11.

Okay, as far as I can work out, there are six that I haven't seen:

8.15 – Docu.Drama
8.19 – The Wizard and Roz
10.14 – Daphne Does Dinner
11.14 – Freudian Sleep
11.20 – And Frasier Makes Three
11.21 – Detour

I'd skip the first two!

Not really but I don't really like either of them and though I think you should watch them to so you have seen all the episodes, I sure wouldn't recommend them to someone new to the show. The kite part is funny in Docu.Drama and it's actually an episode where I feel sorry for Frasier because he's right and Roz is being a bitch to him! But The Wizard and Roz does nothing but give me the mega creeps!

And Frasier Makes Three is one of my favorites of the final season and I also really enjoy Detour. A lot of people don't like it but for me, it's the one that cements Frasier's relationship with Charlotte.
This is the STUPIDEST day I've ever had!

No, you're certainly not alone in feeling an almost unexplainable attachment to a TV programme such as Frasier - it's utterly human! The writing (and at times the characters) is almost Shakespearean in it's complexity, wit, depth and quality. Why wouldn't you love something so cerebral as Frasier!! :P

"Freudian Sleep" is pretty terrible.

I quite like Freudian Sleep, too.

Docu.Drama and The Wizard And Roz are definitely the worst of the bunch. I think Daphne Does Dinner would be my favourite from that list.

Just watched them last night. I actually managed to derive some pleasure from both of them, although they obviously had their fair share of cringing moments too.

This is the advantage of the 'full rewatch' I've been embarking upon for the last couple of months. I'd never have dreamed of just sticking those episodes on out of sequence, but as I'm watching the whole lot I forced myself and quite enjoyed them - probably because they are the 'least rewatched' of any Frasier episode I own.

I don't dislike either enough to switch over if i see them on tv (ok, maybe the wizard and roz i do) but Docu.Drama is good enough, even though i'd probably place it 5th best out of of that half dozen that DG had left to see.

i think u r spot on

seasons 1-3: struck by the superb chemistry and acting. witty writing and at times heart renching scenes. comedy is still the main thing at this point

seasons 4-6: more dramatic but just as funny, but not as brilliant. there are some geniune tear jerking moments.

seasons 7-10: a drop in quality but it is fun in isolation to watch this part of the show. gives u a warm fuzzy feeling

season 11: a return to form. prob the best finale of a sitcom i have seen

btw id take frasier as comedy, er as drama

i stand corrected"
