Kate

Frasier and Kate, should they have wound up together? I feel as though they sabotaged them right at the end for some inexplicable reason...
even though I understand a very passionate relationship can hide the fact that you actually have nothing in common with a person...
I've been there... but they had such chemistry it's a shame they couldn't work it out.

Maybe the lesson is, you can't build a relationship on passion and lust alone.

I loved the Kate story arc but I think it ran it's course. More of her would have been too much for me.

By end together, I mean at the end of the series, you wouldn't have to see her that much :)

Nah. I still think Kate ran her course. I thought Charlotte was awesome so I was happy with how things ended. The only other person I would have wanted to see Frasier with at the end would have been Roz.

I think both Frasier and Kate were too headstrong and egocentric to be able to end up well together. I am not saying that Frasier should have ended up with a weak character, but I'd prefer someone less "out there" (I cannot find the right word for it) whilst still intelligent and strong. I also quite liked Charlotte.
(Not sure I can picture Roz, though)

Frasier will end up alone, he's too egocentric and immature to make it with anyone he thinks he deserves.

I like the handful of Kate episodes, but they were enough. Don't think there were any legs in bringing her back for Frasier at the end. Charlotte was fine. With it being left up to our own interpretations, I think he likely would have ended up happy with Charlotte.

 I wasn't a great fan of Kate, so I wasn't too sorry to see her go.

Besides, one of the major plot devices of Frasier was his love life. It was used for comic effect and to introduce a lot of short term characters to mix things up and keep the show fresh.

I don't think Frasier would have been anyway near as good as it was if Frasier was in a stable long term relationship.
