Hehe, that was weird. I clicked on the last post, and it was yours, Daphne. But it was at the top of the page and I didn't know what you were referring to, or even which thread I was on for a moment! All sorts of things went through my mind.

Oh dear god! Don't do that! Subjecting oneself to the pain that is A New Position for Roz should only be done...well.....never!

It's too late now, CatNamedRudy!! I already went and watched A New Personality for Roz last night. There's 22 minutes of my life I won't get back!

Actually, the dinner was probably the most interesting part. Noel wasn't as bad as I remembered, but Bulldog was awful. I know he's a sexist character, but at least in the past he was funny - those cheap shots he took at Roz did the character no favours. On the other hand.... Gil was awesome! All that talk of his glistening fetlocks and powerful haunches.

Sweet, er, dreams indeed.

Hrmmm.

His compulsive ways normally make me laugh, but he gets grating in Some Assembly Required. The way he keeps going to their house is annoying and makes me feel bad for the family.

What irritates me a little is the way they used to bring characters back that were annoying in the first place. For example Ann Hodges from The Placeholder and The Ann Who Came To Dinner or Gertrude Moon in season 10. There really wasn't any need to bring them back IMO.

I don't mind Gil or Noel, but Bulldog's "This stinks, this is total BS!" rants got a little irritating after while. I also hated the way Bulldog returned in The Dog That Rocks The Cradle.

Having rewatched Dark Side of the Moon this morning, I would have to say that Anthony La Paglia's portrayal of Simon irritated the heck out of me. The whole cockney accent thing, the complete over-acting - hideous! Although there are some great laughs to be had throughout the episode ALP's acting just made me cringe. (Although I've seen him in other things where he's been great).

I can't help but wonder what Jane Leeves thought of Simon's accent!

Simon is definitely a "fan divider" character. I LOVE Simon. He cracks me up in every episode he's in and his accent doesn't phase me at all.

Really, the only accent that ever bothers me is Clives.

Haha, perhaps one to add to the top 5 quiet episode endings list? There certainly wasn't much laughter, anyway.

What's wrong with Clive though people? I thought his accent was just luverley......

Is it true that Frasier actually dated only one model? as it was the week-after-week stunningness (I know that's not a real word) of the women in his life that started to annoy me around season six - the Teri Hatcher really episode kicked it off...

Just out of curiosity, why does it irritate people that Frasier dates attractive women? It's not like the man is a troll or weighs 400lbs. He's a good looking, charming locally famous guy. Granted, he's a bit arrogant, pompous and full of himself but until a woman dates him a few times she's not going to know that! :D

Well.........the woman that bought him the auction never actually went out with him. The underwear model from Dial M for Martin showed up at his apartment and left right away. Daphne was going to set him up with her friend who was an underwear model (Holly?) in Where Every Bloke Knows Your Name but she was dating somebody so he never dated her.

Girlfriends through the years.........

Katherine-I don't think we know what she did but I'm pretty sure she wasn't a model
Madeline-designed women's sportswear
Faye-lawyer turned pastry chef
Cassandra-worked at KACL
Claire-can't remember but not a model
Marie-not a model but crazy
Mia-wrote children's books
Honey-wrote cheesy self help books
Samantha-lawyer
Abby-lawyer
Charlotte-owned a dating service
Nanny G-children's entertainer (of all ages!)
Lilith-psychiatrist
Diane-barmaid
Chelsea-gym teacher (and really not all that attractive either)
Caitlin-artist
Lana-real estate broker
Lisa-book store owner
Emily-don't know but she wasn't a model
None of the women from Three Blind Dates or Three Dates and Breakup were models
Kate-worked at KACL
Julia-worked at KACL and was a financial/stock advisor
What's her name from Four for the Seesaw-Designed kitchens
The one from Party, Party-some religious nut
Roz-not so much dated as slept with but she wasn't a model either.

The only model he ever actually DATED was Kelly.

 I never figure out how women find him attractive. He's sort of fat, balding, and has fat face cheeks! (Just ask Niles.) Niles is also sort of ugly... He's balding, scrawny, pale, and his eyes are sort of inside his skull more than a regular human. Poor guys... However, if I was a girl I'd probably find Niles more attractive. (Again, Frasier is fat.)
