Discussion of all things 'Frasier' - the episodes, the actors and other 'Frasier'-related topics.

Frasier finds it on the corner of his tub.

When he asks why they they were in the tub at all Donny says 'we got into the mood, and into the nude and into the tub'. Now unless there is yet another bathroom in this apartment (which is highly unlikely what condo has 4 bathrooms) they would have had to go through Frasiers bathroom to get to the tub!

Unless they are in the habit of taking baths in the middle of the day then HOW does this work? Surely Frasier would be woken up by two people in his bathroom?

Nah, he heard them, and got off.

Obviously, Frasier wasn't there when they did this. Marty and (I think Bonnie) also used his tub. (albeit to wash Eddie!)

I give you Martin's balcony AGAIN!

Watch Docu.drama. Niles goes out to the balcony from the living room area with the kite. We then see the wind pick up and Niles is almost shoved over the side of the balcony. Then it picks up again and Niles is next seen on Martin's balcony!

That is some brisk wind and Niles is quite talented if he can fly either AROUND the building to Martin's balcony or OVER the building to Martin's balcony!

I think we have to put this down to the fact that DHP can actually fly...! As in every other episode where they have been out on the balcony from the living room, it doesnt appear that it goes around the building in any way.... Unless u guys can think of one where it does?! :? :?

The view from Frasier's bedroom windows and from his bathroom suggests that there is balcony out there. There are Ficus trees in pots outside of them both.

One would think though that if Marty can exit his bedroom to the balcony, the same could be said for Frasier. He should have sliding glass doors in his bedroom to enter the balcony and he doesn't. That much I KNOW we never see! (I'm very well versed in Frasier's bedroom!)

I'm new here and loving it already :D

Great floorplan of Fraiser's apartment.

Anyone have one for Nile's place at the Montana. I've always been curious about it. In one episode it was noted that Nile's apartment was 3 stories

Hi Crystal, welcome! :hello2: Yes, Niles' apartment intrigues me too, with its secret doors and huge amount of rooms.

The best thing about Niles' apartment at The Montana is the Magically Expanding Kitchen!

Nooo, I have to disagree! The best thing about Niles' apartment is Niles himself. Mmm! Especially in 'Daphne Hates Sherry'! :love4:

Niles' magnificent library is the best room at the Montana! Although I would have loved to see his 'gift-wrapping room'!

I don't know if this has been touched on, but in the pilot episode when Daphne is being interviewed, Frasier tells Martin they have no room for her to stay in their apartment. Martin says she can have the room "next to his" which would mean that there are 3 bedrooms down that hallway. This is never mentioned again during the entire run of the show, but I thought it was odd that he would say that. Frasier called it his study I believe.

Yeah and in truth, the room Daphne ends up in is what Frasier was using as his study. So that line has just gone down to mis-speak or mis-write or inconsistency!

I decided that when he says the room across from his, he meant across the hall and across the living room!

Yep, that's right! He says, "Across from mine." A little more misspeak from me too!

I dunno if this has been mentioned already (apologies if it has) but in Come Lie With Me, when Frasier is thinking of having Daphne's room converted back to his study, he tells the builder that the room is down the hallway and to the right, suggesting it's adjacent to rather than opposite the kitchen.

Also, in Daphne's Room, there is a clear corner that has to be turned before getting into her room, which backs this up.

Not sure if that's been covered already, but I couldn't quite see that hallway on the initially proposed plans at the start of the thread.

I agree with you DHP. Daphne's door is offset at an angle from the doorway leading from the living room, because in many shots you can clearly see a painting in the hallway directly through that doorway.

I don't think that suggests it's adjacent to the kitchen. What he's saying is that if you are standing smack dab in the middle of that entryway, turn right. And then the door would be on the left side of the right hallway! ACROSS from the kitchen.

Yeah, saying "down the hallway" could mean only a couple of steps really. I've got a hallway in my house. It's all of about 3 feet!

Hey, you know what's strange? In DocuDrama, Niles' and Martin's kite flies right onto the balcony of Martin's room. That means that Martin's room must be next to Frasier's! The kite couldn't have gone all the way across the building. I recall Frasier saying 'second one to the right' (not an exact quotation) about Martin's room. Am I correct?

I guess if you were standing in that hallway, second to the right would be Martin's room. And yes, that kite made quite a little journey 'round the building to go from the living room balcony to Martin's balcony.

I see CatNamedRudy has already pointed out the DocuDrama discrepancy.

By the way, the floor plan should at least have the correct spelling of 'Seattle'.
And what does 'en suite' mean? I remember Ferguson asking Frasier if it'll be breakfast en suite.

Martin's room is next to Frasier's. You can see it in Chess Pains when Frasier sets off the smoke alarm. But the placement of the balcony still doesn't make any sense. I'm pretty sure Niles just flew over the building in order to land on Martin's balcony!

I think I wrote this above here someplace but really, in order for Niles to get on Martin's balcony, that balcony would have to wrap all the way around the outside of Frasier's condo. Plus, if you look out Martin's balcony door, there is a wall to the right which I'm assuming is the wall to Frasier's master bathroom. That would mean that that balcony would end at Frasier's bathroom and then Martin has his own balcony. Again, making it impossible for Niles to end up there without flying over the building!

Today I watched the episode where Niles and Frasier meet Sherry. Before Martin and Sherry were going to leave Frasier's apt., Martin told Sherry maybe she should freshen up, and Daphne said "It's right down the hall" and took Sherry off in the direction of Frasier's and Martin's bedrooms. That tells me there has to be another bathroom that isn't connected to either of their bedrooms. Why would Daphne take Sherry into a bath connected to a bedroom when there was the powder room right by the front door?

That's been my argument all along. That bathroom is mentioned again in an S11 episode.

Yes, that would mean there is another bathroom in the apartment! Wow, those writer's should have been more careful!

Speaking of the apartment, didn't they show an outside shot of that building in one episode? Seems to me they showed the outside of the building with an upwards shot like they were showing Frasier's apartment.

There is a shot of the sidewalk below the balcony in Bla-Z-Boy and there is another exterior shot of the building but I can't recall which episode it's in. It might be in Ask Me No Questions. But I'm not sure.
